Industry, business and community
Change in China has been dramatic during the three decades since December 1978 and the introduction of that country's 'reform and openness'. Understanding those changes is crucial for Australia and the rest of the world. Economic growth brings demands for resources, goods and services. But the social, cultural and political changes accompanying the economic growth also stand to alter Australia's relations with China and our common region
The UTS China initiative provides a platform for community, business, industry and government to interact with UTS experts on China and to gain benefit from their expertise across a host of areas related to contemporary China. Located in the heart of Sydney’s China Town UTS China draws these diverse groups into connection with UTS China experts’ current insights into ‘real world’ China.
